Inkstuds at the Jem continues

Hey Folks - The Opening last night was resounding success. The gallery was packed from the moment we opened the door until the booze all drunk and all we had was a couple of bottles of Malibu Rum. I will post some photos later.

I just want to make sure that everyone knows, that on Saturday, January 26th from 1pm-5pm, we will also be hosting a small press expo of sorts, at The Jem Gallery - 225 East Broadway. This will give people that weren’t able to make it to the opening, a chance to meet some of the artists, buy some comix and have some fun.

If you don’t live in Vancouver, but are interested in buying some of the art, I am going to try and put something together for people to be able to purchase stuff. It is a pretty incredible selection of art.

The cartoonists involved in the show, have really done there best and pulled together an incredible show. I feel pretty lucky to be a part of it.

That looks like a good time was had by all. Best picture of Ed Brisson ever.

Does Ed go anywhere without that yellow hat? Is he bald?

I don't think he is bald, just stuck in the 90's with the never changing look - Just kidding. I don't know whats up with the hat. Someone should steal the hat, and look to see if it releases some kind of drug into his system.

The opening and the jam were both awesome, went without a hitch (other than running out of beer at the opening and Jason Turners pieces falling off the wall, but they were sturdily built and suffered no visible damage from what I could see). I think Robin deserves a lot of credit for the radio shows success and how smoothly the gallery events went! And there were other people taking photos, I seem to recall Robin Bogie snapping some...

Thanx Colin, It's been a lot of really hard work thats paid off. Everyone was saying how its the best opening they have been to at the Jem, would agree, you have probably been to the most there.

Thanks, it was an awesome show. It will be up until feb 13th, if you make it over to Vancouver.
